We’re delighted to announce that Activity Stream has gone live with the Barbican Centre in London!

As the largest cultural institution in Europe, the Barbican Centre in London knows about the challenges of providing key employees with the data they need, when they need it. Offering a program ranging from classical concerts to lectures and movies, spanning multiple concert halls, conference rooms, and a cinema, the amount of data is immense and creating a relevant reporting system is extremely time-consuming.

When introduced to the Activity Stream platform, Eden Guin (Senior Marketing Manager) saw a way to create an overview across systems and an easy way to explore data: “I could see how this platform would help people in many roles in the organization. Personally, I’ll get a much better overview of sales and marketing efforts, while others can get a 360 view of specific events and customers. The ability to go from a top-level overview of sales down to a specific customer in seconds will be a very valuable tool for us.”

Having recently decided to change ticketing platform, migrating from ENTA to Spektrix, the uninterrupted data flow and customer intelligence has been key to Andrew Hayes, Head of Systems and Data at Barbican: “The ability to connect sales and customer history across multiple platforms is key to us, in a time of transition. Add to this that we’ll now see sales connected to digital campaigns and sales channels, this is a whole new level of decision support for us.”

To Martin Gammeltoft, Chief Business Officer in Activity Stream, the project is a landmark: “The Barbican Centre is one of the most notable cultural institutions in Europe and to me, this really shows the versatility of the Activity Stream platform. I’m sure that we’ll see new uses and value in this partnership, and I can’t wait to see how it transforms such a large organization.”
