Job Description Summary 

Activity Stream is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our growing team in the Edinburgh office to help us drive our sales efforts and promote our innovative solutions in the market. If you have a background in B2B SaaS business development, strong communication skills, a direct approach and a hands-on mentality, this role is perfect for you. Experience with live entertainment and theatre would also elevate your application.

You’ll have the flexibility to work from our Edinburgh office or from home when needed, but we’re looking for people to be available to join us in the office three days a week.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Email marketing and cold calling to book product demos with our sales managers. 
  • Sales Team Support: Collaborate with the sales team on targeted email campaigns. 
  • Prospect Engagement: Engage potential prospects, ask the right questions to understand the prospects’ needs, and qualify potential matches with our products and services. 
  • CRM Contribution: Enhance our CRM system by updating and sourcing information to nurture our sales pipeline. 
  • Market and Competitor Insights: Continuously collect data on market trends and competitor activities to inform our strategic decisions.

 

Skills and requirements needed to succeed 

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in business development/lead generation, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment. 
  • Attributes: Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to succeed within a high-performing sales team. Solution-driven mindset. Direct communication skills with a collaborative spirit and values feedback. 
  • Language Skills: English proficiency at a professional level is essential; knowledge of Dutch,German and/or any Nordic languages is considered an asset.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. 
  • Technical Skills: Experience with CRM systems, we use Hubspot. Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making. 
  • Additional Advantage: Experience in theatre, live entertainment, or a strong passion for these fields would enhance your application.

  • Compensation Package: Salary within the range of £36,000 – £40,000 base + commission depending on the level of experience, complemented by additional benefits, and 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Activity Stream is seeking a Broadway Marketing Analyst to support our Broadway clients, primarily the prominent Shubert Organization, which owns and operates 17 theaters on Broadway.

The purpose of this role is to help our clients, including Broadway shows and producers, understand trends and patterns in customer, sales, and marketing data.
In close collaboration with the Shubert Organization and with extensive Broadway data at our disposal, we aim to build a data-first approach to identify the right audience early in each shows’ development and sales cycle, facilitating efficient and effective approach to marketing maximizing return on investment across paid, earned, and owned media.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Activity Stream and other common marketing tools (Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, etc.) to analyze customer, sales, and marketing data for Broadway clients.
  • Own the process, from initial request to implementation, of reporting feature requests and bug reports from the Shubert Organization to Activity Stream
  • Understand and apply targeting goals set by Broadway clients at key points of each show’s lifecycle
  • Utilize existing audience data and/or a LLM to identify audiences that meet targeting goals
  • Measure ROI of online and offline advertising campaigns (predominantly through UTM and Server Side Tracking via CAPI etc.)
  • Track and report on campaign and marketing KPIs, including leads, conversion rates, website traffic, and social media engagement
  • Monitor budget distribution and performance of paid ad campaigns
  • Conduct research and analyze benchmarking data for Broadway shows
  • Recommend optimizations to enhance marketing efficiency
  • Collaborate with our internal product team to improve our marketing tools to support promotional projects (e.g., automation, content consumption, social media, scheduling) for Broadway shows

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Marketing Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Expertise in analytical tools for marketing, e.g. Google Analytics
  • Experience with paid media campaigns
  • Knowledge of the entertainment / ticketing industry and specifically Broadway is a big bonus
  • Experience with or interest in learning LLM engineering
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency tools for data analysis, e.g. Excel
  • Ability to experiment – and learn – new systems; and comfort with adapting to legacy technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (or relevant field) and/or equivalent experience

Salary range for this role is between $70,000-$80,000 dependent on experience.

  • Occasional travel (10%) to relevant conferences and industry events.
  • Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of business development, telefundraising, or box office experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting targets.
  • Strong curiosity and a willingness to understand new concepts with an always learning mentality.
  • Genuine desire to engage with people in the live entertainment/arts and culture industry.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to succeed as part of a high-performing remote team.
  • Experience in theater, live entertainment, or a strong passion for these fields is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems, ESPs, or analytics platforms is a plus.
