Activity Stream welcomes a new VP of Nonprofit Sales in the US - Robert Friend

We are pleased to announce the continued expansion of its US team with the addition of Robert Friend as Vice President of Nonprofit Sales. Activity Stream is a global marketing intelligence platform built exclusively for live entertainment.
Robert's primary focus will be selling Activity Stream products to the US and Canadian performing and visual arts markets. His role is to increase market adoption and growth in the nonprofit entertainment industry.

Throwback to Robert Friend before Activity Stream
Robert previously served as Head of Growth for Eventgroove, a one-stop integrated SaaS platform for event management, fundraising, and e-commerce solutions.
He initiated Live Entertainment Solutions Group during the pandemic to deliver technology, marketing, fundraising, and operation consulting solutions. These efforts have assisted entertainment operations in navigating successfully through the pandemic.
Moreover, he served as Vice President of Business Development, Strategy, and Consulting for Patron Technology, and led sales and marketing at Choice Ticketing Systems and Artsoft. As well as served as head of marketing and operations for the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse.
Robert's career has not stopped there. He oversaw marketing at Connecticut's Tony Award-winning Long Wharf Theatre. Additionally, he served as a chief advancement officer for the historic Garde Arts Center.
He recently completed 20 years as an adjunct for Brooklyn College's graduate training program in performing arts management.
Robert is a graduate of Boston's Emerson College, where he serves as a member of the College’s Board of Trustees. He is an active Rotarian, serving as a leader in Connecticut's Southern Rotary District, and set as District Governor during the 2024/25 Rotary Year.
Robert Friend is also a Board member of the Shoreline Arts Alliance and is a past Board member of the League of Historic American Theatres and the International Ticketing Association.
